The northeastern province of Quảng Ninh is planning to further make use of heritage to develop sustainable tourism, step by step becoming a regional and international linkage hub, and an attractive destination for tourists in the global tourism map.
Quang Ninh Province, home to several popular destinations
including Ha Long Bay, has unveiled plans to open representative offices
in Japan and South Korea to promote its tourism industry.
Ha Long city in the northern province of Quang Ninh sparkled with lights
and colours during the 2013 Ha Long Carnival that kicked off on the
night of April 27.
Quang Ninh provincial authorities will not encourage
building more boats offering overnight accommodation for tourists in Ha
Long Bay, and check the operation of existing tourist vessels,
especially those offering overnight stay.
After Quang Ninh increased the prices of Ha Long Bay
tours and Thua Thien-Hue increased entrance fees for cultural sites in
Hue, other provinces frequented by tourists have also followed suit.
he People''s Committee of Quang Ninh Province has
ordered that tour boats operating on Ha Long Bay be painted white in
order to renew their image following the bay''s designation as one of the
new Seven Wonders of the World.
